Whilst still in high school, I came to know about acupuncture and it’s benefits when I was receiving treatments for a sporting injury sustained while pursuing a professional golf career. I had multiple muscle tears in my back, creating excruciating pain, and very limited mobility. Acupuncture helped me get control of the pain, increase my rage of motions without triggering the pains, and saw me recover much faster than was expected. As a result of this experience, I continued to use acupuncture for many other health benefits, and as a form of preventative healthcare. It was after finishing this sporting pursuit that I then turned to studying acupuncture.
I completed a Bachelor of Health Science in Acupuncture at the Australian College of Natural Medicine, followed by an Advanced Internship of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine at the Guangxi Traditional Chinese Medical University in Nanning, China. This internship provided me with invaluable experience and allowed me to work under some of the most respected Professors and Masters of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China.
After completing the internship, I returned home to Australia where I established my own Acupuncture business, servicing Brisbane and the Gold Coast. I also traveled throughout Queensland offering treatments to help with smoking cessation, for which I had great success.
From the very beginning I have always had a strong focus on musculoskeletal conditions likes aches, pains, injuries, arthritic conditions and fibromyalgia to name a few. For a majority of my practicing years, I have also developed a strong focus in women’s health concerns including fertility support (natural fertility, IVF/IUI support), pregnancy care, natural labour preparation, and acupuncture induction.
